Terms of Service
Effective 5 October 2026
These Terms apply to your use of loresson.com and to any production services you buy from Loresson. Where we agree a written quote, order form or statement of work with you, that document takes priority over these Terms if the two conflict.
1 Who We Are
Loresson is a trading name of Acornstar Limited, a private company limited by shares registered in Ireland under company number [CRO NUMBER], with its registered office at Acorn House, Lowtown, Robertstown, Naas, Co Kildare, Ireland, and VAT number [VAT NUMBER] ("Loresson", "we", "us"). Contact us at hello@loresson.com, or for project support at support@loresson.com.
2 Business Customers Only
Our services are sold to organisations and to individuals acting for their trade, business or profession. By ordering, you confirm you are not a consumer and that you are authorised to bind your organisation to these Terms.
3 Our Services
We produce bespoke training content using an AI-assisted production system directed by learning, compliance and HSEQ specialists.
Standard. A production handoff pack for your own editor, including video clips, narration, learning cards, course structure and timeline-ready assets.
Premium. Everything in Standard, plus editing, final course assembly, interactive role-play where included, and review and sign-off by our compliance personnel.
The scope, deliverables and price for your project are those shown when you order, or set out in your quote. Timelines shown on our website are typical estimates and start once we have your complete brief and payment.
4 How Orders Work
Where you order through our website, a contract is formed when you submit the order form, accept these Terms and complete payment. Production begins immediately. Where we agree a written quote with you instead, a contract is formed when you accept the quote in writing.
5 Your Materials
You keep all rights in the briefs, scripts, procedures, logos and other materials you send us ("Your Materials"). You grant us a licence to use them only to deliver your project. You confirm you have all the rights and permissions needed for Your Materials, and that they do not breach any law or anyone else's rights.
6 Artificial Intelligence and Our Providers
We use third-party AI providers to generate video, images, audio and text. Your Materials are sent to these providers only to produce your project. Our contracts with them prohibit using your content to train their models. The current list is on our Sub-processors page, and our AI Transparency Statement explains how we use AI.
7 Accuracy and Your Responsibilities
AI-assisted content can contain errors, omissions or out-of-date information. You must review all deliverables before you use or publish them. Where Premium includes review and sign-off by our compliance personnel, that review checks the course against your brief and the jurisdiction you specified. It does not replace your own legal duties as an employer or duty holder, and it is not legal advice.
8 Ownership of Deliverables
Once you have paid in full, we assign to you our rights in the deliverables made specifically for your project. We keep ownership of our production system, tools, templates, methods and know-how. Because AI-generated material may not attract copyright protection in every country and similar material can be generated for others, we do not guarantee that every element is unique or legally protectable.
9 Showcase
We will only show your course, or any part of it, as an example of our work with your written permission.
10 Labelling of AI Content
Deliverables may carry visible AI labels and machine-readable markers such as content credentials. You must not remove or alter these. Where you publish content that could reasonably be mistaken for real people, events or places, or that lets learners talk to an AI character, you must make clear it is AI-generated, as required by the EU AI Act and similar laws.
11 Quality of AI-Generated Content
Our courses are produced using third-party AI services and include a large volume of assets, often several hundred clips, animations, narrations and voiceovers, at a fraction of conventional production cost. We take all reasonable care over quality and stand behind the output as a whole. Occasional imperfections in individual clips are an inherent characteristic of AI production and are not a defect.
If 20% or more of the clips in a delivered pack are unusable, you may claim a refund as set out in our Refunds and Cancellation Policy. A clip means each separate video, animation, image or audio file in the pack. Unusable means it cannot serve its intended purpose, for example wrong content, corrupted files or unintelligible audio.
12 Fees, Payment and Tax
Prices are in euro and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Irish VAT is added for customers in Ireland. For business customers elsewhere in the EU with a valid VAT number, the reverse charge applies. Payment is due in full when you order, unless your quote says otherwise. Website prices may change, but the price shown when you order, or in an accepted quote, is fixed for that project.
13 Cancellation and Refunds
Because production begins immediately on payment, orders cannot be cancelled once submitted. If we are unable to deliver your project, we will refund you in full. Refunds for unusable content are set out in our Refunds and Cancellation Policy.
14 Confidentiality
We treat Your Materials and the details of your project as confidential. We never share them with other companies except the providers needed to deliver your project, under written contracts. You will keep our pricing, methods and non-public information confidential in the same way.
15 Data Protection
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Where we process personal data contained in Your Materials on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement applies and forms part of these Terms.
16 Acceptable Use
You must not ask us to produce content that is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or harmful, or that uses a real person's name, face or voice without their documented consent. We may refuse or stop work that breaches this section or our Acceptable Use Policy.
17 Liability
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any project is limited to the fees you paid for that project. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
18 Indemnity
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Materials, or from your use or publication of deliverables in breach of these Terms.
19 Use of This Website
You may use loresson.com for lawful purposes only. You must not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or copy or scrape content from the site without our written permission. Content on the site is owned by or licensed to Acornstar Limited. The site is provided as is, and links to other websites do not mean we endorse them.
20 Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end a project if you materially breach these Terms, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to put things right first.
21 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Changes apply to projects ordered or quoted after the new effective date, not to projects already under way.
22 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.
23 General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. These Terms, with your order or quote and the policies they refer to, are the entire agreement between us.

Refunds and Cancellation
Effective 5 October 2026
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Our services are sold to businesses. If we have accepted an order from a consumer, nothing in this policy affects their statutory rights.
1 Orders Are Final
Production begins the moment you submit your order and pay. Because work starts immediately, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once submitted, except as set out below.
2 If We Cannot Deliver
If we are unable to deliver your project, we will refund your payment in full.
3 Quality of AI-Generated Content
Our courses are produced using third-party AI services and include a large volume of assets. We take all reasonable care over quality and stand behind the output as a whole. Occasional imperfections in individual clips are an inherent characteristic of AI production and are not grounds for a refund.
A clip means each separate video, animation, image or audio file in the delivered pack. Unusable means a clip cannot serve its intended purpose, for example wrong content, corrupted files or unintelligible audio.
4 Refunds for Unusable Content
Where 20% or more of the clips in a delivered pack are unusable, we will refund as follows.
Below 20% unusable, no refund is due.
From 20% to below 50% unusable, we refund the same percentage of the fee you paid. For example, if 30% of clips are unusable, we refund 30% of the fee.
50% or more unusable, we refund the fee in full.
The percentage is the number of unusable clips divided by the total number of clips delivered. With your agreement, we may replace unusable clips instead of refunding.
5 How to Make a Claim
Email support@loresson.com within 10 working days of delivery. Include your project name, a list of each clip you consider unusable by file name, and the reason each one is unusable. We will assess your claim reasonably and in good faith and confirm our decision in writing within 10 working days.
6 Use of Refunded Content
You must not use clips for which you have received a refund. If you receive a full refund, you must not use any part of the delivered pack and ownership of the deliverables does not pass to you.
7 How Refunds Are Paid
Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 14 days of our decision.

Full details are in our AI Transparency Statement.

We respond within one month. You can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (www.dataprotection.ie) or to your local authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK (www.ico.org.uk).

12 California Residents
This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended. We do not sell personal information. If we use advertising cookies that count as sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, you can opt out through the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals.
You may know, access, correct and delete your personal information, limit use of sensitive information, and opt out of selling or sharing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. An authorised agent may act for you.

Data Processing Agreement
Effective 5 October 2026
This Data Processing Agreement ("DPA") forms part of the Terms of Service between Acornstar Limited, trading as Loresson ("Processor"), and the client ("Controller"). It applies whenever the Processor handles personal data contained in the briefs, scripts, procedures and other materials the Controller provides, and is intended to meet Article 28 of the GDPR and UK GDPR. Clients accept it when they place an order through our website or accept a quote. Clients who need a signed copy can request one at hello@loresson.com.
1 Subject Matter and Duration
The Processor processes personal data only to deliver the Controller's project, for the life of the project plus the deletion period in Section 9.
2 Details of Processing
Nature and purpose. Receiving, storing and transforming Controller materials into training content using AI-assisted production.
Data subjects. The Controller's staff, trainees, contractors and anyone named in the materials provided.
Personal data. Names, job roles, contact details, workplace procedures and any other personal data the Controller chooses to include.
Special category data. Not intended. The Controller must not include it unless agreed in writing.
3 Processor Obligations
The Processor will process personal data only on the Controller's documented instructions, including these Terms and the Controller's order or agreed quote. It will tell the Controller if an instruction appears to breach data protection law. All staff with access are bound by confidentiality.
4 No Training and No Selling
The Processor will not use Controller data to train AI models, will not permit its sub-processors to do so, and will not sell Controller data or use it for any purpose of its own.
5 Security
The Processor maintains appropriate technical and organisational measures, set out in Annex A.
6 Sub-processors
The Controller authorises the sub-processors listed on the Sub-processors page. The Processor will give at least 30 days' notice of new sub-processors to clients with active projects. If the Controller objects on reasonable data protection grounds and the parties cannot resolve it, the Controller may end the affected project and receive a refund for work not yet carried out. The Processor imposes equivalent obligations on each sub-processor and remains liable for them.
7 International Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA or the UK, the Processor relies on an adequacy decision, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK addendum, which are incorporated by reference.
8 Assistance and Breaches
The Processor will help the Controller respond to data subject requests and with impact assessments and regulator consultations, taking account of the nature of the processing. It will notify the Controller without undue delay, and in any case within 48 hours, of becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting Controller data, with the information the Controller needs to meet its own obligations.
9 Deletion and Return
Deliverables are returned to the Controller on delivery. After the project ends, the Processor will delete Controller materials from live systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, unless the Controller asks in writing for them to be kept for future updates, or the law requires retention.
10 Audits
The Processor will provide the information needed to demonstrate compliance with this DPA. The Controller may audit once a year on 30 days' notice, at its own cost, during business hours and subject to confidentiality, or more often after a breach or a regulator's request.
11 Liability and Precedence
Liability under this DPA is subject to the limits in the Terms of Service. If this DPA conflicts with the Terms on data protection, this DPA prevails.
Annex A Technical and Organisational Measures
Encryption in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher, and AES-256 encryption at rest.
Role-based access control with least privilege and multi-factor authentication.
Data hosted in the European Union, in Ireland, with separation between clients' projects.
Logging of access and changes to client data.
Daily encrypted backups with periodic restore tests.
Security and data protection assessment of every sub-processor before use.
A documented incident response procedure and annual staff training.
